San Marzano is a very delicate tomato, with a thin skin, which retains its flavor for a long time even when stored, but which must be handled with care. Cultivated in the very fertile territory, which is mainly found around Naples, in the Agro Nocerino – Sarnese, in the province of Salerno, it is recognized by the DOP. Removed from its peel through the peeling process, it is preserved in a soft San Marzano juice, it is ideal for preparing delicious sauces and also for enjoying an excellent spaghetti, even a simple one, enhancing its taste with abundant scented basil.
