FAQ

VAT AND INVOICING – ONLINE AND IN-STORE ORDERS

Private customers in Italy and the EU. Prices shown on the site include VAT. For deliveries to other EU countries, the VAT rate of the destination country applies under the OSS scheme.

EU businesses with a valid VAT number. We invoice without VAT under the reverse-charge mechanism, after checking the number on the VIES system.

Non-EU customers with shipping. If the site detects an address outside the European Union, the prices you see already exclude Italian VAT. On arrival you pay the courier directly your country's import VAT and any duties. Switzerland: no duties; on delivery you pay FedEx only Swiss VAT of 8.1% on goods plus transport. Example: a €4,000 bike plus €100 shipping → about €332 VAT.

Non-EU customers collecting in store. We apply the price without Italian VAT at the time of purchase, through the tax-free procedure for travellers. Two things are needed: a valid ID card or passport issued outside the EU, and customs validation of the document when you leave EU territory.

ORDERS AND DEPOSITS – BIKES IN STOCK OR MADE TO ORDER

What "made to order" means. These are bikes we don't have in store but can order from the manufacturer. Before confirming any order we check actual availability and give you a date. If the bike can no longer be ordered or the lead time is longer than stated, we contact you immediately and refund you in full.

How an order is confirmed. For bikes not available in store we ask for a 30% deposit, which secures the bike and the price. The balance is due on delivery or before shipping. For high-value orders from abroad we work by bank transfer.

Bicycles shipped within Italy cost €89.00, which includes full assembly, adjustment, and insured shipping.

For shipments that do not include a bicycle, the shipping fee is €9.90 for orders under €79.

Shipping is free within Italy for orders over €79.

WORLDWIDE SHIPPING AND WARRANTY

We ship with FedEx, insured and tracked. In Italy: €69 for bikes, assembly and set-up included. Delivery in 2-4 working days, plus up to 7 days for workshop assembly. Other items €9.90, free over €79. Abroad: rates vary widely by country and size. A boxed bike ships at volumetric weight, so the cost depends on the size of the parcel more than on its weight. Contact us for an exact quote before ordering.

Warranty. The warranty is the manufacturer's and is tied to the bike, not to the country of purchase, so it also applies abroad. In practice, if you live outside Italy you can go to a dealer of the brand in your country, who normally handles the claim directly. Alternatively, we handle it as the seller. The warranty doesn't cover the cost of transporting the bike, so if you live far away we recommend opening the claim locally. We're always happy to ship individual components. Keep your invoice: it's needed to register the bike with the manufacturer, without which the warranty isn't valid. Bikes always leave assembled and checked by our workshop, then partially disassembled for transport. On arrival you only need to fit the front wheel, straighten the handlebar and fit the pedals: nothing involving hydraulic brakes, drivetrain or internal cabling.

SIZING AND BIKE FIT

For in-store purchases, bike fitting with the Shimano BikeFitting system is always included in the price of the bike: full body measurements, saddle and handlebar adjustment, cleat positioning. It takes about 45 minutes. If you're coming to collect the bike, give us a few days' notice and bring your cycling shoes. If you're buying remotely, send us your height and inseam before ordering and we'll check the size together. A size change after shipping is complicated for both of us, so it's better to be sure beforehand. A biomechanical analysis with pedal-stroke study is also available, which we recommend after at least 500 km on the new bike.

RETURNS

Returns accepted within 15 days of receipt, at the buyer's expense unless otherwise agreed. Goods must be returned unused and in the condition in which they were shipped. Returns from non-EU countries require customs documentation, which we prepare.

No booking needed. Times depend on the job and on parts availability. For quotes, call us or drop by the shop.
