CarboWatt+ is an energy bar based on carbohydrates (with maltodextrin and fructose) with dried fruit grains.
This bar has a pro-energetic action both in the very short term (thanks to fructose) and in the medium term (thanks to maltodextrins) for prolonged efforts.
CarboWatt+ bars are a highly digestible food, as carbohydrates are a rapidly absorbed source of energy, more digestible than proteins and fats. This property makes them particularly useful during intense physical effort, where poorly digestible (or slowly digestible) foods impair performance and cause gastric problems.
An example of use of this type of bar is during long training sessions or races (over 2 hours), where muscle glycogen reserves significantly decrease or run out, forcing the athlete to eat before the end of the performance.
The new flavours, pistachio and peanut and cranberry, can make the energy bar more palatable, and a pleasant flavour, can encourage carbohydrate intake during physical activity and give satisfaction during consumption. The new flavors contain chopped peanuts and pieces of cranberries or chopped pistachios.
Directions for use: To feed before or during prolonged efforts, take 1 bar per hour of physical activity, when this exceeds 90 minutes.
