Lightweight MEILENSTEIN ART SCHWARZ EDITION – The ultimate evolution of the carbon wheel

The MEILENSTEIN ART marks a turning point in carbon wheel engineering.
The result of four years of research and development , it represents the perfect meeting point between aerodynamics, rigidity and lightness , redefining what is possible in terms of performance and construction precision.

A new era of German engineering

Every element of the MEILENSTEIN ART has been redesigned from scratch.
At the heart of the project is the revolutionary Alpha Rib Technology (ART) , a patented internal structure that integrates a network of carbon ribs inside the rim.
The result is a wider, more aerodynamic and extraordinarily stiff profile, with a reduction in overall weight.

This innovative architecture allows for more precise and direct road behavior, transforming every watt into pure acceleration.

ART – Alpha Rib Technology

The ART system represents Lightweight’s biggest leap forward in composite technology.
Unlike traditional hollow structures, the MEILENSTEIN ART rim integrates internal structural reinforcements that increase its lateral stiffness and resistance to torsional loads.

The carbon spokes are glued directly to the internal structure , eliminating mechanical connections and unnecessary bends.
This allows for more direct power transmission , less tension loss and an immediate response to pedaling .

DRS – Drag Reduction Shape

The DRS aerodynamic profile is optimised for 28mm or larger tyres and maintains maximum stability in crosswinds.
The 23 mm internal section and refined geometry allow for reduced resistance without compromising control, ensuring neutral and stable behaviour even at high speeds.

R2R Design – Rim-to-Rim

Proprietary R2R (Rim-to-Rim) technology defines the Lightweight construction philosophy:
Each carbon spoke runs in a single continuous line from rim to rim , crossing the hub without interruptions or mechanical connections.
The result is a stiffer, more responsive wheel with no weak points.

Penta-Fly Hub

The Penta-Fly hub is designed to provide maximum torsional and lateral stiffness .
Oversized flanges increase stability under load, while the compact body reduces aerodynamic drag.
Every detail is visible: no hidden parts, no superfluous structures.

RCT – Reusable Core Technology

The rim is made using RCT technology, which uses a removable core during carbon fiber lamination.
Once the composite has hardened, the core is extracted and reused, leaving a hollow structure reinforced by perfectly shaped internal ribs .
A process that combines engineering precision and environmental sustainability .

LCC – Lightweight Custom Composite

Each layer of fiber is oriented with millimetric precision according to the Lightweight Custom Composite (LCC) principle, to guarantee the best balance between stiffness, responsiveness and durability over time .
The result is an extremely efficient wheel, capable of providing a clear and natural riding feel.

Finishing and craftsmanship

The MEILENSTEIN ART introduces a smooth and clean surface , abandoning the visible textured appearance typical of traditional carbon.
Each wheel is assembled and finished by hand in Germany, at the Friedrichshafen factory, to guarantee the highest quality and construction consistency.

Aero-Mass Index: The New Performance Metric

Lightweight has introduced the Aero-Mass Index (W×kg) , a new parameter that measures the ratio between weight and aerodynamic drag at 45 km/h.
This index allows you to objectively evaluate the balance between lightness and aerodynamics.

In the world ranking, MEILENSTEIN ART occupies first place overall , ahead of models such as:

  1. Lightweight Meilenstein ART

  2. Partington MK2 R39

  3. Mavic Cosmic Ultimate

  4. Reserve 52

  5. DT Swiss ARC 1100 DB50

In summary

The Lightweight MEILENSTEIN ART represents the absolute pinnacle of technology applied to carbon wheels :
Lighter, stiffer, more efficient and built with a precision that only German craftsmanship can offer.

Ideal for cyclists who demand the ultimate in speed, control and aerodynamics , it is a wheel destined to redefine the benchmark in high-performance cycling.
